## What a persona changes

A persona adds focused instructions to the selected refinement mode. Use one for a recurring role such as code reviewer, technical writer, copy editor, or SQL specialist.

## Control where it applies

- **Apps**: Limit a persona to selected applications.

- **Targets**: Use it only for selected model families or coding-agent workflows.

- **Modes**: Apply it only in Auto, Coding, or One Shot mode.

Note: A persona with no scope restrictions can apply everywhere. Narrow scopes are safer when the persona has a specialized job.
